Vaping & The Ethics of Risk

A Policy Paper by Lynn T Kozlowski, Professor of Community Health, at the University at Buffalo School of Public Health, and David Sweanor, Professor of Law & Member of the Center for Health Law, Policy and Ethics, at the University of Ottawa, examines the ethics of the FDA’s treatment of Vaping. They find that: “Omitting key health relevant information for current or prospective consumers represents a kind of quarantine of health-relevant information. ” and that, “Omitting such health-relevant information for consumers of such products effectively blindfolds them, and impairs their making informed personal choices.”
